Advanced Materials Letters

With a goal to focus on the advancement of materials to global excellence at IAAM, one of the first activities we undertook was to launch our own not-for-profit open access publication pertaining to advanced materials. These publications were named “Advanced Materials Letters” and “Advanced Materials Proceedings”.

Since its launch in June 2010, Advanced Materials Letters has established itself as an authority and market leader in publishing high quality, interdisciplinary materials research. The publication connects the various disciplines involved in advanced materials and publishes path-breaking work from leading researchers from academia, industries and research laboratories.

What are Advanced Materials?

Advanced materials encompass all the new materials and modifications to existing materials in order to obtain superior performance in one or more characteristics that are critical for the application that is under consideration. Typically, they are remarkably adaptable and have superior properties compared to conventional materials, outperforming them in their applications. In certain cases, they may also exhibit novel properties leading to the design of completely new products. Some well-known advanced materials are graphene, ceramics, composites, glass, metals, polymers and semiconductors.

The scientific research of advanced materials includes activities such as design, development, skills and standard. The advanced materials impact factor is enormous and can potentially be exploited to manufacture high-value products and develop sustainable, cutting-edge technology across various market sectors such as energy, healthcare, AI, machine learning, and so much more!

International Journal of Advanced Materials

The Advanced Materials Letters (AML) is an international not-for-profit open access journal that has been publishing monthly issues for nearly a decade. The journal intends to provide top-quality and peer-reviewed research papers in the fascinating field of materials science, particularly in the areas of structure, synthesis and processing, characterization, and advanced-state properties, as well as the various applications of materials. Electric vehicles have seen steady development and growth over the last half-decade. The integration of modern technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning leading the advancements in the lives and durability of batteries and their efficiency. With each passing year, electric mobility is seeing new heights. And more than 2 million electric vehicles started running on the road which is a record for a calendar year. If the current trends continue, the number of electric vehicles that would be sold in the year 2030 could be as high as 43 million. Publishing Process

The journal also includes review articles, research articles, notes and short essays and write-ups related to the latest trends of advanced materials. All the submissions are primarily evaluated by the editorial office before being assigned to academic editors for handling the peer-review process. Typically, we take around three months to complete the peer-reviews, proofreading and editing process. After this, the online version is published immediately. The publisher does not charge authors any article processing fee or publication fee. All the published articles are indexed and available for free download to IAAM members. Interested students, professors, researchers and academics can subscribe to the printed version on a yearly or per volume basis after paying the yearly subscription fee.
